DKT is an engineering company in Ankara, Turkey, working on machine design, software and robotic automation. We build industrial robot arms to your needs or source a ready-made robot; design, machine vision, software and commissioning come from us. We configure our robot arms with 4 to 6 axes and a size of 2 to 4 metres depending on the job, and fit every one with our own camera and laser-sensor vision system.
What we take on in a robot arm project
- Design and kinematic analysis: We model reach, axis count and cell layout in SolidWorks and show the motion before anything is built.
- Build or source: Depending on the job we build the robot ourselves or source a ready-made one. We decide together which makes more sense.
- Machine vision: With a camera and laser distance sensors the robot sees the part and the seam and corrects small offsets itself.
- Software and PLC integration: We write the communication with your machines and PLC, the operator screen and the records.
- Commissioning and training: We start the robot on site and show your operator how to use it.
Which jobs?
- Welding: Our strongest field. On our AI robot arm the welder marks the weld spot with chalk, AI recognises the mark and the robot welds the nearest seam. For long seams a welding carriage is the better fit.
- Other applications: For part handling or machine loading we look at your part and cycle time and tell you honestly whether a robot fits. Sometimes a simple Cartesian system or a dedicated machine is the right answer.
Why DKT?
- One point of contact: Mechanical design, machine vision and software sit in the same team.
- Little programming: In welding, chalk marking removes the need for a robot programmer for every new part.
- A robot that sees: Camera and laser sensors compensate small part-to-part differences.
- Same time zone as much of the Middle East: Turkey is on UTC+3, like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait.
How we work
Tell us about the job
Send photos, dimensions and daily quantity of your part on WhatsApp.
Choose the solution
Robot arm, Cartesian system or welding carriage; we agree on axis count and reach.
Design and software
We model the cell, show the motion and prepare vision and software for your robot.
Commissioning
We start the robot on site and train your operator.
Let’s talk about your robot arm project
Send photos and dimensions of your part. We will come back with the right solution and an approximate budget.
Industrial robot arm price
The price of a robot arm is not just the arm. End effector, fixture, safety equipment, machine vision, software and commissioning make up the total budget. For each item see what drives industrial robot arm prices?, and for a payback calculation see our welding robot price page.
Frequently asked questions
Do you build the robot arms yourselves?
Depending on the need we either build the robot or source a ready-made one. The vision system, integration and software are DKT’s in both cases.
How many axes do your robot arms have?
We configure them with 4 to 6 axes and 2 to 4 metres depending on the job. The part’s shape and the angles the robot must reach decide the axis count.
Does the robot need programming?
On the welding robot the welder marks the weld spot with chalk and AI recognises it, so new parts need no programming. In other applications we do the initial programming during commissioning.
Can vision be added to our existing robot?
It depends on the robot brand and the external communication of its controller. Send us the model and we will check together.
