Factory automation means doing production work with machines, robots and software while reducing human intervention. But automation is not a system you install in one go; it is a journey taken step by step. In this article we explain the … Devamını oku
PLC, HMI and SCADA are the three terms you hear most in industrial automation. All three are parts of the same system but do different jobs: the PLC runs the machine, the HMI is the screen where the operator talks … Devamını oku
A machine vision system analyses images from a camera with software and lets a machine or robot make decisions based on what it sees. It is used to locate parts, measure them, reject faulty products, read codes and guide robots. … Devamını oku
A cobot (collaborative robot) is a robot arm designed to work in the same space as people. It senses force and stops when it hits something, and it can be taught by guiding it by hand. Cobots have spread fast … Devamını oku
A robotic welding cell is a guarded production station where a welding robot welds parts safely and continuously. It contains more than the robot: the welding power source, fixture, positioner, safety and fume extraction all work together. In this article … Devamını oku
“How much does an industrial robot arm cost?” has no single answer, because a working robot is much more than the arm. The catalogue price of the robot is only part of the total cost of a robot cell doing … Devamını oku
A Cartesian robot is a robot system that moves along mutually perpendicular linear axes: X, Y and Z. When the axes are carried like a bridge on two supports it is also called a gantry robot. It is simple in … Devamını oku
A 6-axis robot arm is an industrial robot whose six rotary joints let it reach a point in its work envelope at any required angle. It is the most widely used robot type, from welding and painting to handling and … Devamını oku
An industrial robot is an automated, multi-axis machine that performs repetitive production tasks with programmed motions. It is used for welding, part handling, palletising, painting and assembly, wherever people get tired, make mistakes or are exposed to danger. In this … Devamını oku
